Congratulations to the new Washington Supreme Court Clerk!

Today, Erin Lennon was sworn is at the 10th Clerk of the Washington Supreme Court. She’s the second woman and the first LGBTQ+ Clerk! She is a 2008 graduate of University of Washington Law School. She was the Deputy Clerk for the last few years. Before that, she worked in private practice and clerked for Justice Susan Owens. (In the interests of full disclosure, I clerked at the Washington Supreme Court at the same time she did but for a different justice.)

Erin Lennon is known for her integrity, intelligence, commitment to service, and advocacy for underrepresented groups. She will be a fantastic Clerk.

My video froze early on in the ceremony, but I managed to grab this screen shot from Chief Justice Gonzalez’s introductory remarks.
